-NYC is arguably the most influential region in human history as a center for finances (Wall Street), art (Museum Mile), media (NBC, CBS, ABC, Wall Street Journal, and New York Times), culture (Broadway), and religion (St Patrick’s Cathedral, 7100 Evangelical / Pentecostal churches, and home to five of the nine most populous Muslim counties in America).
-The sheer density of Manhattan with 1.5 million people commuting into Manhattan Monday – Friday creates a mid-town dynamic of 250,000 people per square mile during the work week. Manhattan is arguably the most influential island in human history.
-More than a trillion dollars is traded from Manhattan every day. Yet, the economic disparity in New York City is one of the greatest in the world – between the super-rich and the extremely poor. From a faith perspective there is an inverse relationship between affluence and spiritual receptivity.
