All meeting assignments and links are listed below.

Due October 14th

  1. Continue Devotional Time and Scripture Memory.​

    • Review: the A Pack in the TMS and Romans 6:23

    • Add: The Great Commission Matthew 28:19-20

  2. Catch Up

    • Complete all assignments and watch all videos of class sessions you missed.​​

  3. Develop a list of 3-5 potential people to disciple (with the goal of actually beginning a discipling relationship with 1-2 of these people.) This next month get 1:1s with at least two of these people to see their openness and hunger to grow spiritually. Follow the Life-Word-Prayer format during your time together taking time to hear some of their spiritual journey and either have a devotional time together or pray through a Psalm. The purpose of this meeting is not to invite them into a discipleship experience, but rather to access their desire for spiritual growth and input. 

  4. Complete the Bible Study "Five Characteristics of a Disciplemaker".​

  5. ​Optional - Watch Jim's message on spiritual multiplication at the Main Event Collegiate Conference in 2019.

  6. Have your next 1:1 discipleship meeting before our October 14th meeting sharing:

    • What has God been teaching you in His Word? (Devotional Time Highlights)​​

    • Scripture Memory: Add "The Great Commission "Matthew 28:19-20

    • Areas of Accountability

    • Discuss your list of 2-5 potential people to disciple and your plan to have 1:1s with at least two of these people.

Due September 16th

  1. Continue Devotional Time and Scripture Memory.​

  2. ​Initiate a minimum of three spiritual conversations.

  3. Review the Bible Study "Called to Make Disciples" in Meeting #7 in the Discipleship Series Booklet.

  4. Share your testimony and the Bridge Illustration with an unbelieving friend.

  5. Have your next 1:1 discipleship meeting before our September 16th gathering and share: ​​​

    • What has God been teaching you in His Word? (Devotional time highlights)​​

    • Scripture memory review

    • Areas of accountability

    • Share key insights/points of application from the Trusting God Bible Study.

    • Discuss your plan to share Christ with unbelieving friends. Pray for boldness and opportunities.

  6. ​You are invited to the NYC Annual Prayer Walk Sept. 9th. More details to come.

  7. Our next DMI gathering is Saturday, September 16th 9:30am-12:30pm at Trinity Baptist Church.

Due July 22nd

  1. Continue Devotional Time and Scripture Memory.​

    • Review: Christ the Center, Obedience to Christ, The Word, Prayer, Fellowship and Romans 6:23.

    • Add: Witnessing (Matthew 4:19 & Romans 1:16)

  2. ​Work on your testimony and share with a friend.

  3. Practice "The Bridge Illustration" and share with a friend. 

  4. Continue to pray through your Evangelism Prayer List and intentionally spread time with a few people on this list over the next weeks/months. If possible, share your testimony, or the Bridge Illustration with some of these people.

  5. Complete the Trusting God Bible Study - we will discuss this during our July 22nd meeting.

  6. Have your next 1:1 discipleship meeting before our July 30th gathering share:​​​

    • What has God been teaching you in His Word? (Devotional time highlights)​​

    • Scripture memory review

    • Areas of accountability

    • Practice sharing your testimony and work to finalize it

    • Practice sharing the One-Verse Bridge Illustration

  7. Our next summer meeting will be held virtually July 22nd (9:30am-1:00pm).

Due June 17th

    • Review: Christ the Center & Obedience to Christ & The Word & Prayer

    • Add: Fellowship (1 John 1:3 & Hebrews 10:24-25)

    • Memorize Romans 6:23 in preparation for our Bridge Illustration Training at our June 17th meeting.

  2. Read "The Bridge Illustration" and "How to Give Your Testimony".

  3. Continue to work on your evangelism prayer list and intentionally spend time with a few people on this list over the next weeks/months.

  4. ​Have your next 1:1 discipleship meeting before our in-person June 17th meeting sharing:

    • What has God been teaching you in His Word? (Devotional time highlights)

    • Scripture Memory Review

    • Discuss people on your evangelism prayer list and ways you are seeking to build relationships with them.

    • Pray for people on your evangelism prayer list to come to faith in Christ.

  5. Our summer meetings will be:

    • ​June 17th (9:30am-3:00pm) at Trinity Baptist Church

    • July 22nd (9:30am - 1:00pm) over Zoom

  6. Register for the Circle Line Cruise (June 27th 6:30pm - 10:00pm) by June 9th.

  4. Listen to the ten-minute podcast "The Key to Christian Obedience" by John Piper.

  5. Complete the Doodle poll for the Family Summer Fun Event by March 31st.

    • Review: Christ the Center (2 Corinthians 5:17 & Galatians 2:20)

    • Add: Obedience to Christ (Romans 12:1 and John 14:21)

  2. Read "The Master Plan of Evangelism" (Chapters 3-5)

  3. Do Bible Studies in meetings 4 & 5 of the Discipleship Study "Growing in God's Word" and "Communicating with God in Prayer."

  4. Have a devotional time with a friend using the SOAP method.

  5. Have your next 1:1 discipleship meeting before our March 25th meeting, going over "Growing as a Disciple" in Meeting #3. (In your 1:1 meeting, also share the application step you developed during this meeting for growing as a disciple of Jesus.)

  6. Participate in your monthly small group meeting.

  7. Listen to The Prodigal Sons by Tim Keller

  8. Optional - if you have time, read:

Due February 25th

  1. Complete the Bible Studies "What is a Disciple?" and "Growing as a Disciple" (found in your Discipleship Study Book, Meetings 2 & 3).

  2. Read and take notes on "The Master Plan of Evangelism" (Preface and chapters 1 & 2).

  3. Develop a daily devotional plan and record what you are learning. Consider using the SOAP Method (Scripture, Observation(s), Application(s), Prayer) during your devotional time.

  4. Memorize the first two verses in the Topical Memory System. Topic - Christ the Center (2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20)

  5. Have your one-to-one discipleship meeting, and virtual small group meeting, prior to our February 25th gathering.

Due January 21st

  1. Read or Listen to "Born to Reproduce"

  2. Read or listen to "The Need of the Hour"
