Al Miyashita

BIO:

•    In 1975 Moni and I came to Christ and were later married in 1977

•    Graduated from the University of Colorado; received Executive MBA from University of Denver

•    Worked at IBM for thirty-one years in various positions; worked as a consultant on IBM’s reengineering from 1993-1996, and several other

      transformations

•    Al and Moni have one daughter, Allison married to Yukimasa Nagakawa and living in Kobe, Japan- has an English school teaching English nursery and 

      elementary school, and a son, Paul who is on a leave of absence but worked as a consultant for IBM and living in NYC

MINISTRY HIGHLIGHTS:

•    Involved with the University of Colorado collegiate ministry of The Navigators from 1976 to 1986

•    Went to Japan in 1986 with IBM and served as Missionary Associate until 1992

•    Involved with Hope Church of Wilton, CT from 1993 led Bible studies, prayer teams, and served as an elder for two terms

•    Involved with Young Life as a committee member (2005) and later chairman until 2011

•    Serving on the IET Advisory Council (2006 to present), and the U.S. Board of The Navigators (2008 – 2011, 2013-16)

•    Serving as the NYC NavCity Director since 2012, and the Workplace Mission director since 2014
