Peter Trautmann
Peter is a born-and-bred New Yorker whose life was transformed in college at NYU when he discovered The Navigators, a vibrant community of students placing Jesus at the center of their lives. After working for a Manhattan nonprofit and earning his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, he joined The Navigators to help others experience the same kind of gospel community that changed his life.
Peter became the City Director for NYC in 2021 and has now served with The Navigators for 26 years. He has a deep passion for helping people be gripped by the gospel and loves being able to do it in diverse, culture-shaping New York City. He is a conference speaker and has been a leader of short-term missions in China, Japan, Mongolia, India, Vietnam, Honduras, Morocco, and most recently, Kenya.
He has been married for almost 19 years to his wonderful wife, Amanda, who serves as a Vice President for The Navigators, leading our national marketing initiatives. They live in Brooklyn with their three energetic boys, now ages 12, 14 and 16. Peter loves to lead tours of NYC and jokes that he’s ready to lead a Trautmann Tour at any time for anyone!
